Northland Pines Budget Shows Increase

Northland Pines school district will present a budget next Monday (September 26) evening that asks for an increase in expenditures, an increase in the levy, and an increase in the tax rate.

The overall expenditures for all funds will increase 6.48% (six point four-eight percent) to $24,380,090. The general fund that will be placed on the property tax levy will increase 3.4 % (three point four percent) to $17,048,813. The tax rate will increase 2.04 % (two point zero four percent) from $5.97 (five point nine seven dollars) per $1,000 of assessed value to $6.09 (six point zero nine dollars).

The budget is estimating a 1% (one percent) increase in the district equalized value. The budget hearing will begin at 6:00 pm in the large instruction room of the high school.
