It’s a phenomenon that started nearly a decade ago in the backwoods of Northwest Wisconsin that’s evolved into a major stop in the Northwood’s off-road racing calendar. The Crandon International Off-Road Raceway is a short course, off-road race track where thousands of people gather to watch the best racers around the country compete. Crandon’s brush run was last weekend, and WXPR’s Miranda Vander Leest toured the grounds and met up with a familiar Northwoods face.
Keegan Kincaid placed second in Sunday’s PRO 2 race and won first place in the Community Cup.
Last weekend’s race was the first of two races in Crandon. The next brush run is scheduled for Labor Day weekend.
