It's fundraising time again for the Northwoods United Way and its Executive Director says this year they are making an appeal to all Northwoods residents to contribute.
Northwoods United Way serves Oneida Vilas and Forest counties and helps fund several non-profit agencies in the three counties. Nancy Sattler says they are about one month into their campaign. She says they're budgeting to raise $165,000 along with a second goal...
"....we're also looking for 100 percent participation. I know this may sound like a lofty goal but we believe everyone has something to offer the community. Helping just one person helps to build astronger community...."
Sattler is Executive Director of Northwoods United Way. She says those agencies they help fund promote a better community....
".....I know the agencies would be grateful for any time or resources you could support them with throughout the year. But the agencies that we support help us further our mission by working to strengthen children, youth and families. they promote health, healing and crisis intervention. Or they provide basic needs and self suffiency...."
Sattler says they support 25 different agencies in the three counties. She says the agencies they support further the Northwoods United Way mission. Sattler says businesses can still set up a pledge campaign. More information is available at 715-202-3344 or go to Northwoods United Way.org
