A former school janitor is facing multiple counts of possession of child pornography.
61-year-old Richard Buell of Phelps was arrested in Vilas County on Monday and now faces 78 counts of possession of child porn. He was a former employee at the Phelps school district. Administrators tipped off police that someone on the staff had been accessing pornography from school computers in February.
District officials say Buell has not worked in the district since February, but that the investigation is still ongoing and that they can't talk about it. Officials from the state Department of Justice assisted in the investigation.
Buell faces 25 years on each count if convicted.
