The City of Rhinelander is looking for a new City Administrator.
The city council met Monday night in closed session for a performance review of Kristina Aschenbrenner. Tuesday morning, the city sent out a press release saying Aschenbrenner's employment with the city had been ended. City Council President George Kirby gave a brief statement..
"....the city council has determined to move in a new direction in regards to the position of City Administrator...."
Aschenbrenner began work in August, 2015. She came to Rhinelander after working as the court administrator for the 10th Judicial District of the State Supreme Court at Eau Claire. She also has been the Clerk of Circuit Court in Eau Claire county and for 10 years was in the Army National Guard, as a non-commissioned officer.
Kirby says city staff will oversee operations and day-to-day operations. Kirby says the city will begin a search for a new City Administrator.
