Seven Injured In Two Vilas County Crashes

Seven people have been injured in two separate traffic crashes in Vilas county. Both were reported Friday morning.

A two-vehicle crash was reported at 9:40 a.m. on Highway 70 near Eagle River. The Vilas Sheriff's office reports three people were injured and taken to Eagle River Memorial Hospital.

About a half-hour later, a two-vehicle head-on crash injured four people in Arbor Vitae. The crash happened on U.S. 51 near the Trout Lake Golf Course. One person is said by authorities to be in critical condition and was airlifted to a regional hospital. The three other persons injured were taken to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff.
