A group has formed at Nicolet College encouraging veterans to learn more about going to school.
Joshua Borchardt is President of the Veterans Club of Nicolet College. He says the new club is to let veterans know they can get help to attend school....
"....one of the main goals of the veterans club is to get the veterans informed on what they have for schooling. What they have for a community to help them out. I know you're struggling right now, but we're here to help...."
Borchardt says a college degree will help veterans become more competitive in the work world.
Borchardt says they meet about once a month at the college. He says they've started having a meal to encourage other veterans to come in and informally talk. The next Dining With Vets is set for December 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the Northwoods Center. Veterans wanting more information can contact the Nicolet Welcome Center at 715-365-4493.
