A 29-year-old Wausau man has been referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney with 13 felony charges of burglary.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department reported that they were notified in early May by property owners in the towns of Corning, Rock Falls and Scott that their cabins and outbuildings had been broken into.  A gun was reported missing when police received reports that the gun was brought to a pawn shop in Wausau. The Sheriff’s department later reported to have recovered nearly $6,000 worth of stolen property.

The suspect was taken into custody after detectives discovered the man was also responsible for five burglaries in Marathon County.

The Wausau man is being held at the Marathon County Jail on a high cash bond. The name of the suspect has not been released.
