Alsteens Pleads Not Guilty

A Rhinelander man charged with attempted homicide charge has entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.

24 year old Marcus Alsteens was arrested after a September 13 shooting incident at a home on Mason Street he shared with a cousin. Justin Alsteens was hospitalized but is recovering.

Alsteens is charged with attempted first degree homicide, aggravated battery, negligent handling of a weapon and injury by negligent use of a weapon, all charges have an additional domestic abuse provision.

Alsteens Bound Over For Trial

A Rhinelander man has been bound over for trial for the shooting of a relative.


23 year old Marcus Alsteens is charged with attempted first-degree homicide for the August 12 incident at a home he shared with his uncle, Justin Alsteens. Police allege a fight over doing housechores led to the shooting.

Cash Bond Set For Suspect In Shooting of Uncle

A Rhinelander man has been charged with the Monday shooting of his uncle.


23 year old Marcus L. Alsteens of 645 Mason Street is charged with attempted first degree intentional homicide, aggravated battery, negligent handling of a weapon, and injury by negligent use of a dangerous weapon, all with domestic abuse.
