DNR Says, Time To Have a Chat About Invasives

Garlic mustard is one terrestrial invasive that the DNR would like to keep in check.

June is invasive species awareness month and this week you’ll have a chance to brush up on your facts.  

The Department of Natural Resources is inviting the public to chat online with experts Tuesday and Thursday at noon.  DNR Forestry Invasive Plant Coordinator Tom Boos says members of the public can ask whatever questions are on their mind.

DNR: Get Outdoors This Weekend, For Free

Many outdoor activities in Wisconsin this weekend are 'free,' as the state is hosting a weekend where charges don't apply in many places and no fishing license is needed.

Wisconsin residents and visitors can fish,  hike, bike state trails for free, and ride public ATV trails at no charge. On Sunday, June 2 only, they can enjoy free admission to state parks and forests.
