Volunteers are the very essence of WXPR!
Scores of volunteer on-air hosts create 70 hours of unique music programming weekly. Midday Classics, Your Favorites, Northwoods Cafe, Blues Friday, Polka, Bluegrass Saturday, Country Legends, Sunday Jazz, and Classics by Request are all produced at the WXPR studios. If you have a love for music that you want to share with your community, on-air hosting might be right for you!
Have a knack for journalism?
WXPR recently expanded our news department with the goal of developing a network of community volunteer journalists. If you have in interest in becoming a contributor to the news stories you hear on WXPR, contact News Director, Ken Krall or Community Features Editor, Natalie Jablonski to find out more.
Prefer behind the scenes?
As a community station, WXPR benefits from many volunteers you're not likely to hear on the radio. We have volunteer opportunities for cataloging, pledge drive support, phone answering, special events, production and technical projects, and engineering.
This Volunteer Application applies to all interests. Thank you for considering ways to donate your valuable time and expertise to WXPR community public radio. Volunteerism does makes a difference!
